We do more than pest control and we’ve got the best team in the industry committed to doing that,” he continued.Įxterminate Hunger experienced a brief hiatus in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic but is planned to relaunch bigger and better than ever before. “Our mission at Ecoshield is to spread happiness. “Exterminate Hunger is an incredible opportunity to work together with our employees and customers to exterminate one of the most devastating pests… hunger,” remarks Nygren. With over 30 EcoShield locations participating in the Exterminate Hunger 2022 initiative, Nygren and Cardon report that they hope to collect 10,000 nonperishable food donations. Exterminate Hunger supports hunger relief efforts and partners with food pantries to feed the local communities in which EcoShield operates. EcoShield representatives collect canned food donations from participating customers during scheduled services, organize and package the goods, and deliver them to local food banks that directly impact the local community. Upon establishing industry-leading pest solutions, cofounders Greg Nygren and Doug Cardon realized their proven route-based service model could facilitate another passion: local hunger relief.Įxterminate Hunger’s goal is to alleviate hunger by making food donations simple for their customers who support the cause and wish to help their community food banks. Established in 2008, EcoShield Pest Solutions set out with one goal in mind to provide highly effective, eco-conscious pest control with notable emphasis on an unparalleled customer experience. It is impossible to talk to someone and if you do, they are working out of a call center not based in MN.EcoShield Pest Solutions will be relaunching their longtime hunger relief initiative, Exterminate Hunger, in advance of the 2022 holiday season. But as far as how the company is run I do not recommend. So in summary, I think they are great as far as the service they provide and their technicians. Keep in mind there is also a termination fee if you are locked into a contract. He was very pushy, and while I felt bad, I had to be quite rude and insistent that I WANTED TO CANCEL MY SERVICE. I just got off the phone with someone at a call center who would not let me cancel. And once again, an email was sent asking if they could lower our price to keep us as a customer. We sent an email and left a message saying we'd like to terminate service. I finally decided we just needed to terminate service. In my message I specifically said I had a question and would like to talk to someone. I left another message requesting a call back because I was already aware of the services. I received an email back explaining the services they provide. We had moles in our yard, and I called and left a message a few weeks ago. I just terminated my service with them today. The problem I have is that it is impossible to get a hold of someone in the local office. They are friendly and responsive when here. Their technicians have always been great and very thorough. When I began with Ecoshield I had a wonderful experience. If this taught me anything, it's that I should never, ever, ever answer my door again. But now I feel physically sick that I was dumb enough to believe the lies I was told for a sale. I know I sound like a real dummy, but I don't know about this kind of stuff, and I thought everybody was doing it and I just really wanted to be nice to the salesperson. At this point, I would 100% pay them NOT to come. We asked several times about whether it would impact bees- he said they would only spray along the house. Used names of neighbors who signed up (we're the only idiots who were talked into it). The big thing is that they literally talked only about carpenter ants and explained that "many" people in our neighborhood have carpenter ants and told me about some doomsday situation. “They did come, but after sending the info sheet on the treatments used, we looked up the main chemical, which stated that it kills bees.
